Ilana is the significant other of Razer. Together, they lived in the Forgotten Zone and planned to start a family. However, the constant destruction caused by warlords made things difficult. While Razer was away serving in a militia, Ilana was killed. Razer's rage over Ilana's death attracted a Red Power Ring and he became a Red Lantern.
While imprisoned at a Spider Guild Prison, Razer was forced to relive Ilana's death. He was consoled by the chance to see Ilana again even it wasn't real. Aya took over Ilana's body and attempted to coax Razer into helping her save Hal Jordan and Kilowog.
