The power rings of the Red Lantern Corps are powered by the rage of their users. Likewise, the ring raises its user's vitals to abnormally high levels and affects their emotional state. Depending on skill, the energy of the ring can be channeled through the mouth. The aura of a Red Power Ring is also visibly savage and rough looking in comparison to a Green Power Ring's aura. Without a Red Power Battery to recharge off of, the ring would die in time but can remain as strong as a Green Power Ring as long as its user feels rage. The energy emitted by the Blue Power Battery can neutralize a Red Power Ring. However, when Aya was blasted by a Manhunter on Odym, Razer displayed enough rage to overcome the presence of the blue energy and he was able to use his ring. The orange energy also appears able to easily destroy constructs made by the Red Power Rings.
