Like the Green Power Rings, Red Power Rings also require periodic recharging. Without a Red Power Battery to recharge off of, the ring would die in time but can remain as strong as a Green Power Ring as long as its user feels rage. Atrocitus used his personal battery to power Razer's interrogation after a failed assassination attempt. However, he was able to charge his ring off of it while Hal Jordan and Kilowog fought Atrocitus and Zilius Zox. Razer later took possession of the battery as he fled Shard with Aya.
In one instant, Razer was able to temporarily charge the Interceptor's Green Power Battery with the Red Power Battery so Hal Jordan could use the ship's guidance systems to land. It appeared the Red Power Battery overloaded from the interface, but it fully recharged within a span of 10 hours.
