The power rings of the Green Lanterns do not have unlimited energy and must be recharged by a Green Lantern's personal power battery. After inserting the ring into the battery, the Green Lantern counts the time needed for a full charge by reciting the Green Lantern Oath. Per regulations, the battery should never drop below 20% capacity. The battery resembles a lantern and is connected to the Central Battery located at headquarters on planet Oa. The experimental Interceptor ship is powered by its one large power battery. Hal Jordan, Green Lantern of Space Sector 2814, keeps his personal battery in his foot locker at Ferris Aircraft. During the offensive at Ysmault, Aya drained the Interceptor's battery of energy and operated at super-peak capacity in order to defeat the Anti-Monitor. It recharged completely after 10 hours but in that span, Razer was forced to temporarily power it with his personal Red Power Battery.
