Salaak is a native of the planet Slyggia who was recruited to join the Green Lantern Corps. Salaak is currently the Corps' Protocol Officer and Senior Intelligence Analyst stationed on Oa and is often seen monitoring multiple screens. He is known to follow rules and regulations rigidly and appears cold to others. Salaak was present when the Guardians of the Universe questioned Hal Jordan about his latest breach of conduct.
Months later, Salaak attempted to keep the Guardians safe from Atrocitus but the Oan fortifications and automated defenses were no match. Outnumbered, Salaak was neutralized by Atrocitus and Zilius Zox. Luckily, Hal Jordan arrived in time and Salaak opened the dome to let him in. After Jordan saved the day, Atrocitus was disarmed and Salaak took him away to be imprisoned. Back on Earth, Jordan contacted Salaak to ask about the Manhunters. Salaak insisted they were decommissioned eons ago and couldn't be on Earth. Salaak took part in the Maltus battle and coordinated other Corpsmen.
