Ch'p is a new recruit from Space Sector 1014 and became Kilowog's top student following the Red Lantern incident. In order to amuse himself, Kilowog agreed to put Ch'p against Hal Jordan as part of wager to join the Manhunter investigation. Ch'p easily defeated Jordan and forced him to submit. Ch'p then assisted Jordan at the Science Branch. He flew up a power coupling and switched Aya's datacore with that of LANOS' then avoided detection by Chaselon. Outside, Ch'p saluted Jordan and Kilowog then parted ways. Some time later, Ch'p was one of the Green Lanterns dispatched to Ranx and Maltus. Notably, at the Maltus battle, Ch'p saved Guy Gardner from an Ayahunter.
