The Spegnarians are a near-extinct race of one-eyed creatures. They became rare when their planet was devastated by volcanic activity. A large quantity of Spegnarian eggs were saved and would be the key to a last ditch effort to save the species. Captain Goray was hired to safely transport the species off the major shipping lanes. However, their very lives were endangered when Goray flew to close to a Pinhole. Goray's ship and the Spegnarians were saved by Hal Jordan, Kilowog, Aya, and Razer. During the rescue, several already hatched and took a liking to Kilowog. Goray continued on to deliver the Spegnarians to their new home.
