Mother is the leader of a group of goblin-like aliens who live and work in a domed city on a planet, with an atmosphere mostly composed of Methane, in the Forgotten Zone. Prisoners are forced to battle Mother in an arena. She is not above consuming her own children and takes the heads of outsiders as trophies then displays them on her sash. Mother's weapon of choice is a whip. Hal Jordan and Kilowog managed to recharge their depleted rings off a Manhunter head on her sash and promptly defeated her.
