Grood is a villain stranded on Mogo. He teamed up with General Zartok and Drusa to survive. When they met Hal Jordan's group, Grood was elected to go with Jordan to look for the new Green Lantern. He tossed Jordan into a pit and left him for dead. However, Mogo spared Jordan and swallowed up Grood in rock and soil. Jordan found Grood and examined him. However, Grood crumbled to pieces.
