The goblins are a race of aliens who live and work in a domed city on a planet, with an atmosphere mostly composed of Methane, in the Forgotten Zone. They are very hostile towards outsiders and Green Lanterns, alike. The Goblins are led by their Mother and appear to periodically venture out of the city in vehicle convoys and return promptly. Hal Jordan, Kilowog, and Razer infiltrated the city but were soon found out and chased after. One of the Goblins offered them a ride for a price. When it saw a photo of Carol Ferris on Jordan's cellphone, it demanded her. Kilowog, not understanding, decided to knock him out. The trio failed to escape the city, were captured, and forced to fight Mother, after she ate one of her own. They were aghast when Mother was found unconscious.
