Martha Wayne is the late mother of Bruce Wayne. On one fateful night, she and her husband Dr. Thomas Wayne were gunned down in front of their son who would grow up to become Batman. In the Flashpoint timeline, Bruce Wayne was shot instead. As Dr. Wayne beat Joe Chill senseless, Martha cradled her son's bloody body in her arms. Her mind snapped and Martha lost her sanity.
