Themyscira is a remote island paradise were the Amazons live in perfect harmony, hidden from the outside world. In the Flashpoint timeline, Princess Diana never left and succeeded her mother as queen. An alliance was formed with Atlantis on the shores of Themyscira. War, however, soon followed and Queen Mera died fighting Diana over an affair with Arthur. The Amazons departed Themyscira and invaded the United Kingdom, declaring it New Themyscira.
