In the Flashpoint timeline, Project Superman is a rogue government division based in a facility underneath Metropolis. Kal-El and his space ship were confiscated and kept at Project Superman. For 30 years, Kal-El was experimented on. All cloning attempts failed. In exchange for joining Cyborg's cause, Batman requested he locate Kal-El to recruit. Cyborg, Flash, and Batman infiltrated Project Superman from a secret passage in the sewers. Cyborg cycled motion sensors and security cameras while the Flash took out the early morning skeleton crew. As they moved through the facility, they found a feeble Kal-El in a room flooded with red sun radiation. As they made their escape, security ordered them to return Kal-El on direct orders from the President. Kal-El decimated the forces when his heat vision went out of control.
