Abin Sur's Ship is a Green Lantern Corps-issued vehicle for long distance space travel. Abin Sur crashed the ship in the California desert and died. The U.S. government confiscated the remnants of the ship and put scientists to work on repairing it. Eight years later, the ship was completed by bypassing its handling system with the military's own. Hal Jordan was tasked with piloting the ship and performing a kamikaze assault on Aquaman's doomsday device. At the last second, a sea serpent rose from the ocean and ate the ship.
