Jeramey Chriqui was a university student and con man in Canterbury, England when the Amazons invaded. Chriqui hid in the Canterbury Cathedral and pleaded for his life. He emerged from the rubble of the church as Canterbury Cricket and joined the Resistance. Grifter, Godiva, Mrs. Hyde, Canterbury Cricket, and Etrigan found Lois Lane amid several dead Amazons. In the final battle, Cricket jumped to lower ground with Lane as she began opening fire. Cricket was killed by Amazonian archers.
