Real Identity: Leonard Snart

Leonard Snart was raised by an abusive father. Snart's fondest memories were of the times he spent with his grandfather, who operated an ice truck. Eventually, Snart turned to crime. In Central City, Snart often was defeated by the Flash. Snart devised an experimental hand gun that would interfere with the Flash's super speed. The gun was accidentally irradiated and Snart discovered he created a Cold Gun. Snart created a costume with a parka and special goggles which minimized the effect of the flashes given off by the gun and became Captain Cold. He later led a group of villains called the Rogues who opposed the Flash. During a break in at the Flash Museum, the Rogues were betrayed by their latest benefactor Professor Zoom. Each Rogue had a bomb planted on their belts. Captain Cold was taken by Wonder Woman into a forest where she froze his belt buckle then threw it into the sky to detonate. Cold was arrested soon after.
In the Flashpoint timeline, Snart is known as Citizen Cold and is the hero of Central City instead of the Flash. Cold was recruited by Cyborg to intervene in the war between Aquaman and Wonder Woman.
