October 4, 2011: Sam Register reveals the shorts being made: Aardman Animation making new claymation Batman shorts, Plastic Man animated shorts, Lauren Faust is making Super Best Friends Forever featuring Wonder Girl, Batgirl, and Supergirl, and Doom Patrol. WF Article
March 8, 2012: Shorts are directed by Rich Webber, the backgrounds and environments were inspired by original DC artwork, using a complimentary colour palette found in designs of the 50s and 60s, use real children to voice the superhero characters, and there will a short where Superman talks about what he collects and what he's afraid of, like celery.
