After Roman Sionis became Black Mask, he formed a modest gang he called the False Face Society. In order to be initiated, a member must choose and wear a mask from Black Mask's collection at all times when in his presence or out in public. After a robbery of the First National Bank of Gotham, Black Mask had the Bat-Robots reprogrammed to follow his orders. The False Face Society were none too pleased with the new additions and voiced their disapproval. Black Mask agreed with their sentiment and ordered the Bat-Robots to clear them out of the hideout.
