Detective Samuels agreed to help monitor Barbara Gordon's date with Creed Courtman for a favor from Commissioner Gordon on her day off. She took a table with fellow detective, Thomas. They lost Gordon and Courtman after they drove off to the Ninth Street Terminal. Luckily, Batman and Katana saved Gordon from Killer Croc. Alfred Pennyworth led Samuels and Thomas to the scene to deal with the unconscious Croc.
