After the Gotham blackout, Professor Pyg and Mister Toad used the old Gotham Zoo as their hideout. The cages were used to imprison their victims, Dr. Kirk Langstrom and three women. After Man Bat was freed from Pyg and Toad's control, he led Batman and Katana to the zoo. Barbara Gordon, as Oracle, tipped off the Gotham City Police Department about the zoo. They found Katana at the entrance with the three women. Toad took control of Man Bat and decided to take Katana as his bride. Batman managed to free Man Bat and saved Katana. The police returned and took Pyg and Toad into custody.
