The Gotham Cemetery is a local cemetery where the city and county purchased an empty grave for Margaret Sorrow after she was rehabilitated, wiped of her memory, and given a new identity. As Magpie, she returned to the cemetery and buried Katana alive in another grave plot. Batman deduced a clue Magpie gave and drove to the cemetery. He was fooled and dug up Sorrow's grave. Magpie attacked Batman as Katana struggled to dig her way out. Magpie attempted to drug Batman with curare again and bury him in her grave but he had an antidote of physostigmine. Batman and Katana reunited and defeated Magpie. Many months after the League of Assassins' black out, during a special mayoral election campaign season, Bruce Wayne's funeral was held at the Gotham Cemetery but it was broken up when Bad Batman arrived in a stolen hearse and shot at guests.
