The Mind Control Helmet is a head piece invented by Joe Braxton in order to strip the bad out of criminals. It worked to remove memories and reformat the brain's 'hard drive' by wiping it clear. Lunkhead and Margaret Sorrow volunteered to be test subjects. The helmet failed on Lunkhead but seemingly worked on Sorrow. She was given a new life but she actually developed a two distinct personalities completely unaware of each other. Magpie wanted her stolen memories back and stole the Mind Control Helmet from Braxton's warehouse. She subjected Braxton to it before leaving. Magpie later used the helmet on Batman but he broke free of his restraints and destroyed the device despite her claims she found a way to reverse the process and restore memories.
