Calibosix is a severe and mutative toxin that causes its victims to undergo cellular mutation and degeneration. The toxin has a 90% mortality rate. Victims can continue spreading the toxin through direct contact. Samples of Calibosix are kept on level three of Gotham City's Contagion Research Center. Anarky planned to use the toxin to destroy Gotham City. He blackmailed Lady Shiva into getting him a vial of the toxin in exchange for the body of Ra's al Ghul. Two of Shiva's assassins were infected with Calibosix and mutated into mindless behemoths. They chased after Batman, Katana, and Lady Shiva. Before they could reach level one and trigger a complete incineration of the center, Katana knocked them back down to level three and was infected. Batman went back for her and the anti-serum.
