Joseph Crimble, also known as Ice Pick Joe, is a member of Tobias Whale's hit squad. Joe was assigned to take out Humphry Dumpler before he could testify against Whale. Joe launched a rocket propelled grenade at Dumpler as he walked to the entrance of the Gotham City Police Department headquarters. Some time later, Dumpler kidnapped Joe and imprisoned him in a giant toy soldier. Once Batman detected explosive material in the soldier, Lieutenant Gordon ordered Joe to be taken to a blast bunker 300 feet underground to be cut out safely.
