Gladys Windsmere is an elder member of Gotham City's wealthy elite. She goes so far as to regard her social circles as a family. Windsmere attended the grand opening gala for The Aviary but found its owner Oswald Cobblepot to be a horrible and odd man. She recognized Bruce Wayne and scolded him for being so formal around her. She agreed to fetch Cobblepot but noticed Wayne was with someone. Wayne introduced Commissioner Gordon to Windsmere. After, she took him by the arm and inquired about getting a pothole fixed in the middle of her block that her driver couldn't avoid. She brought Cobblepot to meet Wayne. After Cobblepot excused himself, she only reiterated how she thought he was odd.
Gladys Windsmere attended the gala event at the Gotham Museum celebrating the new Inca exhibit furnished by the help of Cyborg and the Wayne Foundation. She approached Cyborg but couldn't recall his name and confused him for Robotman. Cyborg suggested she just call him "Vic" just as Bruce Wayne introduced himself. Windsmere mused Wayne was to thank for the exhibit, but he deferred credit to Cyborg. Windsmere then inquired about the Inca Rose Stone, Cyborg's big discovery, and he explained fact from fiction in terms of the stone's properties. After Wayne excused himself, she implored Cyborg to continue. After the Joker and Clayface disrupted the gala, Clayface impersonated Windsmere to blend in with the crowd and leave the museum without conflict.
