The Joker stole military tech built by Wayne Industries after he unleashed his Laughing Virus then assembled a battle suit. The summer new technologies showcase was held at Wayne Tower. Dr. Langstrom, head of Research and Development, presented the company's Drilling Sledge and Drilling Mech. Bruce Wayne met General Lane, an official in charge of the military's technology budget. Wayne, his son, and Oliver Queen slipped away during the presentation after Alfred Pennyworth informed them of a break-in at Arkham Asylum. Batman took the Batcycle back to Wayne Enterprises to deploy the Bat Mech with Langstrom. To his surprise, Green Arrow also arrived. They took a lift down to the Workshop and launched the Bat Mech and Arrow Mech. Langstrom departed on the BatATV to meet up with Robin and begin assembling the L06-D-05 Laser Cannon to stop Clayface. In the aftermath, Langstrom returned to the Workshop and was shocked to see Bat Mech with Arrow Mech's left arm and a wrecked Arrow Mech just laying on the floor.
