The Jewelry Store was chosen by the Penguin as a location for one of his force field transmitters. Cheetah and Killer Croc were tasked with the mission. Cheetah entered from the roof under the cover as stealing vaulable jewels. Nightwing mistook her for Catwoman and followed. Killer Croc emerged from underground and joined the battle. Nightwing triggered the alarm for help but was annoyed to see the Flash had responded. During a daring chase between the Batmobile against Blade Wolf and Tiger Claw, a police patrol car crashed in front of the Jewelry Store.
Nightwing and Red Robin took on a group of 10 masked thugs who broke into the store. They ended up taking out five each. To break the tie, they charged Silverback - who took the front door down and arrived later. On Halloween night, Solomon Grundy and Silver Banshee went on a joyride. After they sped past the Jewelry Store, two police hover cars drove in pursuit of them. The next night, Batman rode past the Jewelry Store on his way to Gotham Power after Nightwing reported Solomon Grundy was on the premise.
