Mr. Freeze extracted Bane's Venom for its strength enchancement, Clayface's mud for its expansive properties, and Chemo's sludge for its toxicity and used the Sequencer to combine all three into one concoction. The Monster Venom was initially injected into Killer Croc because of his unique physiology made him an ideal test subject. Robin deduced the reasons for the criminals Penguin and Freeze freed and Batman ran a chroma-spectral scan of the area. They made their way to Gotham Harbor but witnessed a giant Killer Croc walking around. Penguin always planned to double cross Freeze and distracted him with footage of Croc while Buzz filled a vial with the Monster Venom. He gave it Bane and Clayface despite Freeze's warnings. Clayface soon suffered a reaction to the Monster Venom due his unstable physical make up. He gained the ability to project and turn into lava. After Bat Mech knocked out Croc and Bane, they shrank back to normal size. Clayface was frozen solid with a L06-D-05 Laser Cannon adapted with an Arctic Device. After he was shattered, Clayface reformed in his normal state and size.
