The Fire Bat is a robot modeled after the bat and is part of Bumbershoot Mechanic's Cyber-Animals line. The Fire Bat was designed to deter crimes against the environment such as preventing illegal whale hunting. Fire Wolf was dispatched to Gotham National Bank with Tiger Claw to provide support for Silverback and Man-Bat against Green Arrow and Batman. Fire Bat shot its eye lasers at the duo. Arrow's regular arrows and exploding arrow failed to damage the bat at all so he resorted to knocking it out with his bow. Tiger Claw grabbed Fire Bat and fled the scene. Fire Bat appeared at Penguin's grand opening gala for the Aviary.
When the Cyber-Animals were summoned to the Gotham Zoo, Fire Bat lifted Silverback to safety with Cheetah then joined the Batmobile chase. Green Arrow fired an exploding arrow at it, prompting Red Robin and he to ditch the former's Redbird motorcycle and land on the hood of a police patrol car. Arrow fired again and got the police car destroyed. He landed on the Batmobile and nailed the bat, as they exited the tunnel, with a taser arrow. The Fire Bat crashed into a billboard advertising the passing of the Midas Heart asteroid. With Dr. Langstrom's help, the Fire Bat was hacked. During an analysis at the Batcave, it was disassembled and later reassembled by the Flash. At the assault on the Aviary, it aided Batman and his allies. In the aftermath, Red Robin rode Fire Bat back to the Batcave and raced Batman and Ace.
While Batman leaped onto Man-Bat, Red Robin activated Fire Bat from his gauntlet and caught up to Batman as he was in free fall. Together, they rode Fire Bat and fired two ropes. They wrangled Man-Bat, knocking him around into buildings then punched him out. Once Man-Bat was secured, Fire Bat carried him off. A few nights after Halloween, Red Robin helped pursue Joker and his team after an incident at the Gotham Museum. Silver Banshee attempted to unleash her sonic scream on Robin and the Fire Bat but hit a billboard instead. Clayface tossed mud at them. Once the Joker unleashed his Digital Laughing Virus, Fire Bat went haywire then offline. Green Arrow shot one of his trick arrows and saved Red Robin.
