As a failsafe, the Penguin had an escape pod built into the Aviary. Should his plan to mine the Midas Heart fail, Penguin would take the pod to the Greek Isles. As the plan was foiled by Batman and his allies, Penguin left Gotham in his pod. Green Arrow managed to scramble the guidance system with one of his rocket arrows. The Penguin found himself stranded in the Arctic.
