Mr. Freeze was angered by the presence of a new oil drilling platform in the Arctic territory he occupied. He found his Arctic Devices and subjected a tiny Isopod to his technology. The Isopod was enlarged to a monstrous size and the device was affixed to its back. Freeze ordered the Isopod to follow them. It rushed the drilling platform and damaged the tower. The roughnecks brought out their Wayne Enterprises Drilling Sledge and fired at the Isopod. The laser blast propelled the Isopod onto some debris. The Arctic Device was damaged and the Isopod returned to normal size and scampered away. Freeze returned to his lab and plotted to create a new monster but Penguin convinced him what he needed was in Gotham City.
