Stately Wayne Mayor resides 14 miles from Gotham City and is home to Bruce Waye, his ward Dick Grayson, Alfred Pennyworth and Grayson's aunt Harriet Cooper. Cooper is unaware Wayne and Grayson are Batmand and Robin respectively much less that the Batcave resides under the manor. Wayne's study holds many secrets, namely one of the Bat-Phones, used to communicate with Commissioner Gordon, and the Bat-poles that lead down to the Batcave. One night, Wayne had Grayson start praticing ballet for balance, flexibility, and strength. They both sat down to watch Gotham Palace but watched as the music guests revealed themselves to be the Joker, Penguin, Riddler, and Catwoman. Pennyworth informed Wayne of the Bat-Signal outside. Before they could run for the study, Aunt Harriet got in their way. They insisted they were off for night fishing. Wayne answered the Bat-Phone as Batman. Gordon asked for his help.

Wayne and Grayson took the Bat-poles down to the Batcave and deployed. While Batman and Robin checked in with Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara, Aunt Harriet was drawn to snoop around in Wayne's study despite his rule of no women allowed. She was sure Wayne was hiding something and looked around. She noticed the Bat-Phone and was about to touch the bust on his desk when Wayne suddenly grabbed her arm. He stated the oils from her fingers would ruin the finish. She pretended to be disoriented and left the study. Wayne summoned Pennyworth and fired him for failing to keep Cooper out of the study. With Catwoman's Batnip going into full effect, Batman left Robin in town and returned home alone. He settled in to watch Gotham Palace just as Grayson arrived. Aunt Harriet teased them about being back from "fishing" so soon.

Wayne was annoyed and yelled at her to say what she was thinking. She ran off crying. Grayson couldn't take it anymore and pointed out to Wayne how he was completely changed. After asking if he even cared about Pennyworth, Wayne escorted him outside and shut the door. Gotham was soon overcome with crime in Batman's absence. Gordon kept trying to call the Bat-Phone every 20 minutes but got no answer. Wayne eventually had enough. He walked into his study and ripped the phone out of the landline socket. A few nights after the Joker, Riddler, and Penguin were finally defeated for good, Wayne and Grayson threw Aunt Harriet a surprised birthday party on the manor grounds. She apologized them for being insecure and thinking they were hiding some grand secret from her. She was happy to know she was a valued member of the family and permitted them to stop with the night fishing ruses. Pennyworth alluded to the Bat-Signal in the sky. Wayne and Grayson excused themselves to go skeet shooting.

Aunt Harriet was excited she and Alfred Pennyworth got to go in Wayne and Grayson's place at the annual millionaires' soiree ending in a midnight tour of Gotham. She couldn't wait to rub elbows with the upper crust of the city. Pennyworth thought it was very generous. Aunt Harriet thought it was lucky the boys had another one of their fishing trips to go on. She elbowed Pennyworth. He was aghast. She didn't want to be late. She grabbed one of his arms and they ran off. Grayson saw the Batsignal and prompted Wayne. They ran into the study and headed down to the Batcave. After Dent got Professor McElroy sentenced to 15 years, he had a drink at Wayne Manor. Wayne felt sorry for him but knew justice was served. He told Dent he would be lead District Attorney again in no time. Dent credited Batman with nabbing the super crooks so he could send them to the state penitentiary. Grayson remarked it was same place Batman sent him. Dent told Grayson he hoped he didn't feel like a third wheel when he was around because he was Wayne's best friend. He handed his glass to Grayson.

Dent wondered where he would be without Batman's help or Bruce's friendship during his dark time. Grayson guessed he would be robbing a bank. Aunt Harriet was charmed to have two handsome bachelors who were still best friends after all these years. She thought it was enough to give a girl the vapors. Dent confessed the other reason for his visit was to ask Wayne to take part in a charity bachelor auction on behalf of the Society for Underprivileged Fraternal Twins. Wayne thought it a worthy cause because the stigma of being the less-attractive twin was a heavy burden no one should have to bear. He agreed to do it. Dent was thrilled and revealed the venue would be the newly refurbished Winning Pair Casino. Pennyworth leaned into Wayne and whispered there was a call from the Batphone. Wayne excused himself and Grayson for their weekly badminton lesson. Dent promised to be in touch. Aunt Harriet took Pennyworth's tray and offered pigs in a blanket to Dent.

Wayne picked up the Batphone and answered as Batman. Gordon told him an odd package arrived at his office, explicitly addressed to him. Batman and Robin departed to check it out. After a heated argument about Harvey Dent and Two-Face, Robin was grounded. Pennyworth went to Grayson's room with milk and cookies but he discovered Robin left on his own. Pennyworth activated the Bat-homing beacon in Robin's utility belt and alerted Batman. Months after Two-Face was defeated, Dent's charity bachelor auction was held on the grounds of Wayne Manor. Grayson wondered how Dent would act around them since he discovered their secret identities during Two-Face's spree. Wayne did not know what to expect. Pennyworth announced Dent's arrival. Dent thanked Wayne and told him he was once again indebted to him for his kindness. Wayne dismissed any debt and told him that was what old friends were for. Dent excused himself to head to the stage. Grayson was shocked he did not remember anything. Wayne theorized Dent repressed that memory.

The guests applauded. Aunt Harriet wondered if Dent would be auctioning himself. She joked with Pennyworth she might need to borrow some money and elbowed him. He was aghast. She told Wayne she was all a tingle but realized he was gone. Dent presented their first item up for auction, the most eligible bachelor in Gotham City, Batman. Everyone was surprised. Catwoman raised her hand for the first bid to everyone's surprise. Batman was shocked then blushed.
