The Antique Museum was one of three museums in a circle targeted by the Joker, Penguin, and Riddler following the theft of the Replica Ray. Knowing full well they couldn't pull the heist off with Batman in play, they came up with a long-term plan. They manipulated Catwoman into scratching Batman with mind control Batnip secretly spiked with Laughing Gas then secretly cloned themselves and took over an abandoned space station with Catwoman as part of a fake plan to clone Earth and rule over multiple Gotham Cities. The slow acting Batnip eventually turned Batman into an egomaniac and he took over the city. While Robin and Catwoman were focused on curing him, the real Joker, Penguin, and Riddler robbed the museums of Gotham's most priceless treasures and irreplaceable artwork. Riddler exited the Antique Museum with the first puzzle ever created. Joker stole a clown painting with the intention of boosting its value by bumping off the artist. Penguin stole a Fabrege egg encrusted with a million dollars worth of diamonds and emeralds. As they gloated outside on the museum grounds near the city seal,Batman, Robin, and Catwoman arrived. Rather than fight, the villains flew off on Penguin's giant rocket umbrella.
