The Mad Hatter is a formally dressed villain with a weakness for collecting hats. He is armed with trick hats with various functions like hypnosis or exploding. He is particularily obsessed with getting revenge on Batman and collecting his cowl. Hatter was one of the 14 criminals freed from Gotham State Penitentiary by Robin and Catwoman to battle Batman and his Replica Ray clones at Gotham Palace. In the aftermath, he was rearrested and returned to the penitentiary.
