Egghead is a master criminal with a fixation on eggs. He is infamous for egg puns and believes himself to be the world's smartest criminal. Egghead was one of the 14 criminals freed from Gotham State Penitentiary by Robin and Catwoman to battle Batman and his Replica Ray clones. During the fight at Gotham Palace, Egghead threw a Sticky Egg at the face of a clone near Catwoman. He took out his carton of eggs and decided on using either a Weight Egg, Sticky Egg, Mind Control Egg, Acid Egg, Atomic Egg, Sneezing Powder Egg, Eggarang, Smoke Gas Egg, Poison Egg, Knockout Egg or Laughing Egg. Before he could attack, a clone hit him. In the aftermath, he was rearrested and returned to the penitentiary.
Egghead was one of the super criminals "volunteered" to be a test subject of Hugo Strange's Evil Extractor during a demonstration at the Gotham State Penitentiary. However, the Extractor was overloaded by Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Egghead, and Mr. Freeze. Over six months later, Egghead was one of the criminals invited by Two-Face to bid for the secret identity of Batman and Robin at The Winning Pair Casino. He pooled his money with the others for the winning bid of $10 million but they escaped their restraints and teamed up with Catwoman. Catwoman used her fighting style cat-rate and kicked Egghead. Batman and Robin threw Egghead and Clock King into each other. The criminals were all rounded up by the police except Catwoman.
