Primat was born in 1998. She is the mate of Grodd. Together they had a child named Simeon. Primat developed into something of a romantic and often smoothes out the bluntness of Grodd. She was among the gorillas in her troop subjected to brain enhancements and Kobra Venom by the Brain and Ultra-Humanite. During a planned coup, Primat and Boka met with Miss Martian to take custody of the troops' progeny then take them to a safe hiding place. Primat remarked Simeon looked like his father.
