Alfred Pennyworth is the loyal butler to the Wayne Family in Gotham City. After Dr. Thomas and Martha Wayne were murdered, Pennyworth raised their son Bruce Wayne alone. However, respecting his late employers, Pennyworth never assumed a father figure role for Bruce Wayne and kept some distance according to English custom. After Dick Grayson moved to Wayne Manor, Pennyworth chose to parent him differently. On July 7th, 11:11:16 Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), Team Year Zero, the 64 year old Pennyworth assured Robin that Batman would make his decision about Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, and Superboy's team on time. On August 19th, Pennyworth monitored Batman and Robin's mission in Cape Canaveral.
On August 27th, 05:40 EDT, Alfred voiced his concern over Clayface and the Team facing it. On December 1st, for Grayson's birthday party, Pennyworth ordered several boxes from Giordano's Pizza but made all of the pizza pies himself rather than ordering them. In June Team Year Six, Pennyworth attended Wally West's funeral. On January 22nd Team Year Nine, the ailing Dick Grayson was visited by Bruce Waye, Tim Drake, Barbara Gordon, and Alfred Pennyworth at the Premiere Building in Hollywood. Pennyworth stayed with Grayson in the medical bay after they got his temperature down with ice packs.
