Henry Yarrow was born in 1941. Lieutenant Yarrow served in the Vietnam War and was a friend of Captain Adams. He was also the figurehead leader of a secret weapons smuggling ring. During an ambush on Hill 409, Yarrow's life was saved by Adams. Yarrow was angered Lemar betrayed and attempted to kill him. He in turn came up with a plan to get rid of Adams and Lemar. As part of the plan, he tried to talk Adams out of confronting General Lemar, their superior. Yarrow drugged Adams' drink and ordered military policeman Sergeant Polk to murder Lemar with Adams' service knife. During Adams' court martial, Yarrow served as his defense counsel. He believed Adams was drugged and he would never murder a man in cold blood. However, the prosecutor and medical examiner provided solid testimony and were also part of the smuggling ring.

Eventually, Yarrow retired the uniform and title. On August 13th, at 20:12 Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), he was approached by Superboy and Wally West in Las Vegas and agreed to talk about the Adams case, under the idea they were journalism students. They found Yarrow at a Blackjack table and proceeded to talk over the case. Yarrow told them part of the story and showed disgust when he learned the judge at the court martial, Wade Eiling, later married Adams' widow. Yarrow, Rako, and Alec Rois set up a trap at an airfield in St. George, Utah. On August 14th, 03:26 Mountain Daylight Time (MDT), the Team arrived and defeated the trio. Yarrow was fatally hit by a bullet that deflected off of Superboy. Miss Martian established a link but Yarrow died seconds later. They concluded Yarrow was the head of the smuggling ring and presented all their findings to Captain Atom. General Eiling, the real leader, was pleased with the results.
