The Warworld is a massive artificial satellite slightly smaller than Earth's Moon. It is a mobile doomsday weapon created millennia ago by a now understandably extinct alien race. It is self-powering and self-sustaining thanks to an endless supply of worker drones providing repair and battle drones providing security. The Warworld was reactivated by Mongul with a Crystal Key. He commands it from the helm wearing a set that receives and transmits his every thought. Mongul set out to conquer the galaxy in order to take back his home planet. On May 24th, the Warworld encroached on Earth and influenced gravitational changes. Tides were altered and mini-tidal waves were generated. On May 26th, 12:00 UTC, Mongul deployed the Warworld's Grand Laser Emitter to destroy Earth. Dr. Fate managed to redirect the blast and disabled the Emitter. Surface missiles were fired next. A contingent of Justice Leaguers and Delta Squad, aboard the Bio-Ship, engaged the exterior of the Warworld while Alpha, Beta, and Gamma Squad infiltrated the satellite.
Blowing up Warworld would take out half of Earth so the Team was split into four squads. Alpha Squad proceeded to the helm to take on Mongul, Beta Squad went after the Crystal Key chamber, and Gamma Squad went to disable the power core. Mongul set off all of the Warworld's weapons on Earth. The League's efforts and Earth's air defenses could only take out 64% of the weapons. The Reach decided to sarifice two-thirds of its fleet to take out the rest. Gamma was unable to disable the power core but rerouted all power to the helm and overloaded Mongul. Blue Beetle then removed the Crystal Key from its chamber. The Warworld was deactivated. On May 27th, 06:04 UTC, Nightwing arrived on the Warworld furious over the disappearance of most of the Team. After Blue Beetle revealed they were taken by Boom Tube, Nightwing dismissed him and investigated the loading bay on his own. Until the Crystal Key could be recovered, Justice Leaguers were assigned to guard the key chamber per shift.
In reality, the Reach kidnapped the Team and placed them in stasis chambers located elsewhere on the Warworld along with the Crystal Key, Mongul, and Despero. On May 30th, 03:36 UTC, Nightwing and Miss Martian called off a telepathic scan while flying outside Warworld in the Bio-Ship. They headed back into the docking bay and continued the search, running into Sphere. Sphere changed into Super-Cycle and took them to the Team. Meanwhile, the group of runaways boomed to the Warworld on Luthor's imperative to save the Team and Arsenal was still on the run from Reach soldiers. Using a Father Box to scan for Superboy's Kryptonian DNA, the group discovered the stasis chamber but were forced to battle Black Beetle. Arsenal arrived and locked the chamber then instructed the group to keep the Black Beetle off balance. He then freed Mongul who engaged Black Beetle. Deathstroke boomed into the Warworld and stole the Crystal Key. Arsenal recovered his teammate's gear and instructed the runaways to start freeing the Team.
As they prepared to make their escape fighting through Reach soldiers, they found them all neutralized by Nightwing, Miss Martian, and Super-Cycle. They proceeded to the docking bay and the Bio-Ship. Before leaving, Nightwing kicked Arsenal off the Team for intentially endangering the lives of his teammates several times. The runaways and Arsenal boomed out of Warworld back to Taos. At 10:36 UTC, Black Beetle was joined by Green Beetle and they managed to place Mongul back into a stasis chamber. With the Crystal Key missing, Black Beetle was relegated to guarding the perimeter of the Crystal Key Chamber. To attend a summit with the Light, Black Beetle left his post at the Warworld. On June 19th, 04:20 UTC, the Light made their move to assume control of the Warworld. Reach guards were boomed away systematically. Klarion teleported Vandal Savage to the Crystal Key Chamber, where Black Canary, Captain Marvel, and Black Lightning were standing guard. At 05:24 EDT, the trio was boomed to the Watchtower and the Warworld left Earth's orbit.
On June 20th, the Warworld passed by Rimbor and Vandal Savage issued a warning to everyone on the surface. On July 5th, 00:16 UTC, the Warworld arrived in orbit above Apokolips.
