Taos is a town in north-central New Mexico. A S.T.A.R. Labs branch can be found in Taos and is home to the Erdel Initiative. On December 1st, 10:10 Mountain Standard Time (MST), Team Year Five, Alpha Squad and Blue Beetle flew to Taos and used the Erdel Initiative's Zeta Tub to teleport to Gotham City. On January 6th, 09:58 MST, Team Year Six, Zeta Squad and Adam Strange teleported to the Erdel Initiative Zeta Lab to meet with Nightwing, Green Lantern, Captain Atom, and Wonder Woman. On February 13th, 19:49 MST, Eduardo Dorado Sr. and Strange activated the Zeta Shield Relay Satellites with Captain Atom's go ahead. On April 1st, 17:23 MDT, Black Canary individually spoke with those rescued from the Reach Ship in a S.T.A.R. Labs Taos office. On April 2nd, Captain Atom, Nightwing, Black Canary, and two scientists met to discuss the Reach and the implications of their secret Metagene research.
On April 9th, Green Beetle was verified by Miss Martian and he shared his analysis of the Reach's new soft drink. Afterwards, Green Beetle elected to take a human form and blend in around Taos until he was needed again. Blue Beetle convinced him to use his shape shifting powers to silence the Scarab and give full control to Reyes. Impulse arrived, concerned about Blue Beetle's tardiness in El Paso. On May 13th, Virgil Hawkins, Tye Longshadow, Eduardo Dorado Junior, and Asami Koizumi ran way from S.T.A.R. Labs and hid at a bus depot. Hawkins used a payphone to leave a voicemail on his parents' phone but S.T.A.R. soon found them. Luckily, Longshadow's ability activated and a very large astral form carried the others to safety. Blue Beetle arrived and earned their trust. But the sudden appearance of Red Volcano forced Blue Beetle to refocus. The teenagers hid at the same bus depot but were approached by Lex Luthor. They agreed to Luthor's offer and was set up with a base of operations. On May 29th, 20:08 MDT, they attacked several Reach-related advertisements and products.
On May 30th, 00:33 MDT, the group of runaways returned to Taos with Arsenal. They cut their ties to Luthor and vacated the base with Arsenal. On June 20th, 06:47 MDT, Blue Beetle and Impulse finished neutralizing a Magnetic Field Disrupter.
