Smallville is small farming town in the state of Kansas and is known for its idealistic characterization of the American Way. It is also notorious for being in the "middle of nowhere." It is home to generations of the Kent family and later, Clark Kent. When the pressures of being Superman were too great, Kent returned to Smallville to gather himself and seek advice from his family.
In Team Year Zero, Smallville was one of the cities invaded in a mental simulation. At some point, Superman introduced Superboy to Jonathan Kent and he was accepted into the Kent family. On April 8th, 8:01 Central Daylight Time (CDT), G. Gordon Godfrey reported on the partnership between Lex Luthor and the Reach to end world hunger and announced public tours at LexCorp Farms in Smallville. At 16:38 CDT, Alpha Squad infiltrated the LexCorp Farms and waited until closing time to search for more evidence. However, Arsenal blew their cover with an explosion. Black Beetle fought them but the sudden arrival of Green Beetle of Mars turned the tide. Alpha Squad and Green Beetle retreated to the Kent Farm where they met up with Nightwing and Superboy to hear out Green Beetle's story.
