Named after the Greek god Poseidon, Poseidonis is the captial city of Atlantis. It is located in the center of the undersea continent. The city is divided into at least five sectors and the Science Center is located in Sector Four. Another known location within the city is the Conservatory of Sorcery. Aquaman and Aqualad utilize a Zeta Beam Teleporter Tube to travel to and from the surface world.
After Kaldur'ahm transferred to the Conservatory, Ocean Master led an assault on Poseidonis. The battle between Aquaman and Ocean Master went on for hours and shook the city on its foundations. When Aquaman was defeated, Kaldur'ahm and Garth intervened in the fight. Aquaman recovered and triumphed over Ocean Master. He drove the villain away from Poseidonis.
Over two years later, on August 27th, at 13:00 Coordinated Universal Time Offset Two Hours (UTC-02), Aqualad returned to Poseidonis after a two month leave. The Science Center had discovered a frozen giant echinoderm and Queen Mera announced her pregnancy. Soon after, Black Manta and his squads infiltrated the city to steal the echinoderm. The siege caused extensive damage to the city but the star was saved and Black Manta escaped capture. On September 6th, Aqualad visited Poseidonis again and brought along Miss Martian and Superboy amid escalated tensions caused by the Purists. At 23:45 UTC-2, the Purists and Ocean Master invaded the royal palace and confronted Queen Mera. Five minutes later, Mera was kidnapped and taken to S'atiroman Cave. He planned to take her power and plunge Poseidonis into chaos, then the other city-states, and take over Atlantis. At 07:01 UTC-2, King Orin, Queen Mera, and Prince Orm thanked Aqualad, Superboy, and Miss Martian for helping prevent Ocean-Master's scheme from coming to fruition.
When Miss Martian and Artemis ventured into Kaldur'ahm's broken mind, they entered a construct of Poseidonis that lay in ruins. Miss Martian was perceived as a threat and a construct of Tula attacked. Artemis found Kaldur'ahm and convinced him to rebuild together. Miss Martian and Kaldur'ahm began the lengthy process. On June 13th, 23:45 UTC+2, Miss Martian found Lagoon Boy and they proceeded to the surface in the Bio Ship.
