Mount Justice was the first headquarters and original secret sanctuary of the Justice League. It is located in a large cave deep inside a mountain near Happy Harbor, Rhode Island. The interior of the mountain was hollowed out and reinforced by Superman and Green Lantern. Mount Justice was maintained for three to four years until the secret location was compromised and Batman provided financing to launch the Watchtower into geosynchronous orbit above the Earth. The base was decommissioned until the formation of the Team. Red Tornado volunteered to live there and supervise the Team, Black Canary visits as combat trainer, and Batman deploys missions. On July 8th, at 8:04 Eastern Daylight Time, the original five members of the Team were first brought to Mount Justice. Below Mount Justice lies the Grotto, a memorial dedicated to fallen heroes. Currently, there are holo displays for Blue Beetle (Ted Kord), Tula, Robin (Jason Todd), and Artemis Crock. On March 23rd, Mount Justice was blown up with an alien explosive, similar to the one that destroyed Malina Island, detonated by Tigress.

The Team and Justice League salvaged what they could from the ruins. The Team was transferred to the Hall of Justice basement to carry out operations while a warehouse in Bludhaven was set up as living quarters. On June 20th, 23:16 EDT, 11 members of Justice League returned from Rimbor and landed at Mount Justice. There were shocked to see the base was gone. The Team arrived to apprise them of the crisis that had passed but at a terrible cost.

40 years into the future, Mount Justice is utterly devastated and lays below skies of ash. On February 28th, 10:05 Eastern Standard Time (EST), Bart Allen completed work on a time machine near Mount Justice. He was joined by Nathaniel Tryon, who reminded Allen saving the Flash and his past self was only the beginning. He gifted Allen with a cure for his past self. After Allen left, he was altered and was a normal human again. However, this was the only known change to the timeline. Mount Justice remained in ruins.
