The Hub is the official headquarters of the Outsiders. It is located in the penthouse of the Premiere Building in Hollywood. On December 4th, 17:48 PST, Beast Boy hosted a tour of the top floors of the Premiere Building to a group of members of the Justice League, Team, and his new team. He revealed it would be the base of operations for his team as well as to house anyone from any of the teams without a home. He informed them it had the same holographic interface that the Watchtower uses, eventually a Zeta-Tube, medical bay, and gym in addition to the fully stocked kitchen, many bedrooms, helipad, and elevator directly from the lobby. Brion Markov, in particular, was elated to have his own room at long last. Garfield Logan funded it using his pay checks from Goode World Studios, which doubled as his way of sticking it to Gretchen Goode. Virgil Hawkins gave Cassie Sandsmark a sympathy fist bump for her payback pun. Miss Martian objected to six teenagers living alone and unsupervised. Tigress teased Superboy and Miss Martian's past living arrangement at the Cave and got elbowed by her. Dr. Jace volunteered to be a den mother since she was already working with Victor Stone and it would help to stay close to him. On the deck outside, Forager spoke to Bio-Ship.
Between December 4th and December 7th, a Zeta-Tube was installed. On December 7th, 19:37 PST, Miss Martian notified Beast Boy's team about a Reach attack in Brooklyn, Maine. Violet Harper, Forager, as Fred Bugg, and Tara Markov woke up at 4:30 and zetaed from Hollywood to Happy Harbor every morning of the week to attend school at Happy Harbor High School. On December 21st, 04:31 PST, Beast Boy apprised Brion Markov about intelligence on a meta-human trafficking operation in Cuba. They zetaed to Happy Harbor to rendezvous with Wonder Girl and Static then depart on Bio-Ship. Tara Markov was glad it was the last day before winter break. Dr. Jace lied to Violet Harper that she was dying due to complications from using her healing powers. She revealed she was working with her mentor on a cure. Harper agreed to wait a week or two until there was better news to tell everyone. Bugg and Markov returned from school and trained with Tigress. Markov informer her that Harper blew them off to hang out with Harper Row. Sensing Terra's anger, Tigress noted her own upbringing and told Terra she would not use the same methods on her.
On January 1st, 14:24 PST, Team Year Nine, Wonder Girl zetaed to Hollywood for Outsiders training. Jace tried to break it to Brion Markov that first loves rarely lasted. Before the scheduled training session could start, the Outsiders were paid an unexpected visit by Dr. Eduardo Dorado Senior, Dr. Helena Sandsmark, and Jay Garrick. They wanted to talk about El Dorado, Wonder Girl, and Kid Flash's membership with the Outsiders. At the same time, Beast Boy received a plea from a Moira Malone on social media about robot monkeys stealing from her father in Dublin. Beast Boy recognized the robots as Professor Ivo's M.O.N.Q.I.s. Citing he was an emancipated minor and Static and Blue Beetle were 18, the trio left for Dublin and left Wonder Girl, El Dorado, and Kid Flash to deal with their guardians. They aired their concerns with their respective children being on a public team. Dr. Sandsmark reiterated she allowed her daughter to join the Team with reluctance but thought a public team was even riskier. Garrick brought up all the members of the Team who perished over the years.
Harper confessed to Markov about her kiss with Harper Row and assured him she was just a friend. He forgave her. She decided to tell the Markovs the truth about Gabrielle Daou's role in the murder of their parents. It did not go well. Garrick regretted letting Kid Flash join. Kid Flash promised him he was not going anywhere, especially after he just lost his wife Joan. He pointed out there were meta-teenagers out there lost and alone in everyone's crosshairs and someone had to be there for them. El Dorado believed they gave them strength to survive and stay together. After both sides talked it out, it was agreed the good deeds the Outsiders were accomplishing far outweighed the risks. Harper wrote a goodbye note in her room and ran away. On January 2nd, 04:16 PST, Forager found Stone and took him back to the Premiere Building. On Superboy's request, Dreamer boomed to the Premiere Building to help and reckoned putting Stone on Metron's Mobius Chair could save him. Forager and Tara Markov told everyone Violet Harper ran away. Markov shared Harper's confession and volunteered to go with Artemis Crock to look for her.
Dreamer left in a Boom Tube but lent her Mother Box to them. Superboy, Jefferson Pierce, and Forager boomed across the galaxy and convinced Metron to come back with them. Dr. Stone was zetaed to the Premiere Building to help. Stone became stressed over the his father's presence and Father Box spread further. Dr. Stone convinced his son he could help and put him into a medically induced coma in order to stall Father Box. He promised to bring him back. Jace tried to lift Brion Markov's spirits by reminding him of all the good work he and his sister had done and living up to his parents' hopes. It turned out Metron only came to observe the process come to completion. Black Lightning kept him at bay with his electricity while the others placed Stone on the chair. Stone was totally cleansed of Father Box's soul and upgraded with Mobius technology. Metron lamented the wasted opportunity for study. Superboy started to understand why Bear punched him. Pierce asked Metron if Gretchen Goode and Granny Goodness were the same person. Metron cryptically replied no and yes then boomed away. Stone and Dr. Stone reconciled with a hug.
On January 21st, 17:32 PST, Beast Boy and Geo-Force returned to the Hub in Bio-Ship after defeating the Condiment King. Dr. Stone made one last offer for Stone to return to Detroit with him. Stone was sure he was right where he needed to be. Forager and Terra left for a Team mission. Things were still awkward between Brion Markov and Violet Harper. Dr. Jace tended to Beast Boy's minor sprain. Jace suggested to Harper she tell her secret after she was cured. Later that night, Logan hung out with Victor Stone in the gymnasium. Stone declared it felt like the fog lifted and he was finally in the acceptance stage of the five stages of grief. Logan was impressed to see him turn a hand into a blaster like Blue Beetle. Logan got an idea and set some weights to 225 pounds. Stone easily performed a priest's lift with only his left hand. They went even higher in weight. He sent the weights flying through the ceiling. They were both impressed. On the balcony, Markov talked to Jace and debated talking to Harper. She advised him to just be open when she approached him next then pointed out on social media, Markovians thought he was a hero and that could be his ticket home.
Some time later, both Stone and Violet Harper sensed the agony of a Mother Box. To everyone's surprise, Stone generated an open Boom Tube to the Mother Box. Logan and Markov followed after them and they found themselves in Gretchen Goode's Hollywood home where Aquaman, Wyynde, and a Mother Box were be attacked by Goode, Overlord, and the enthralled Nightwing and Black Lightning. After a brief exchange, Stone ordered everyone through his Boom Tube. Logan wanted to fight Goode but relented. The ailing Nightwing was taken to the medical bay. Markov and Harper made amends. Jace texted her mentor. He replied arrangements were made and instructed her to be ready to make contact soon. On January 22nd, the Bat Family arrived to be at Dick Grayson's bedside. His temperature spiked and brain swelled. They strapped him down and used bags of ice to bring his temperature down. Dr. Jace took a break and was given coffee by Jefferson Pierce. Jefferson Pierce deduced the existence of the "Anti-Light" while Bruce Wayne spoke to Barbara Gordon, Tim Drake, Kaldur'ahm, and M'gann M'orzz in private and erupted.
The Outsiders returned and learned they were being manipulated by the Anti-Light since their first mission. Jace used Control Chips on the two Markovs and told Violet Harper to come with her to see her mentor because he found a cure for Harper's condition. Pierce yelled at Wayne and Kaldur'ahm in the kitchen while Conner Kent and M'orzz argued telepathically. Logan was shocked and confronted both Barbara Gordon and Tim Drake. Garfield Logan was not happy to learn this continued after Artemis faked her death and asked if this was how Batman taught them to treat their friends and teammates. He bet Superman and Wonder Woman wouldn't approve. Gordon revealed the latter was a part of it. Logan asked Drake if Cassie Sandsmark knew. He believed this revelation would be the end of their relationship for good. Gordon admitted the group teed things up for them in Brooklyn.
Logan stated they didn't need that and brought up what they accomplished in Dublin. He realized they manipulated things in Dublin, too. Gordon revealed Matthew and Moira Malone were Batman and Miss Martian. Logan reached out to Miss Martian psychically about the charade. He was disgusted they corrupted the whole point of the Outsiders. Gordon brought up the fact the Outsiders were secretly coordinating with the Justice League and the Team. He claimed that was different. She countered they went head-to-head with the Light behind the scenes so he could preserve his integrity. Logan sighed and inquired about Condiment King. Gordon claimed the group wasn't behind that. Pierce was angry about the lack of an apology and stressed the mission did not matter if they lose themselves trying to fulfill it. Grayson tried to take all the blame. Gordon went out to see Wayne on the balcony. Wayne lamented Pierce could not see they were trying to protect everyone. He presumed the debate brought the mission to a grinding halt.
Gordon found it patronizing. She pointed out their group were made up of former proteges accustomed to taking orders from him without question and the one member not a protege, Wonder Woman, was in space where she only learned of their actualities by fait accompli. She then asked him if it was "the mission" or just his mission. Pierce told Grayson to stop and asked where Jace was. Brion and Tara Markov returned and told everyone about Dr. Jace's betrayal. Pierce heard enough and stormed out of the building. Kaldur'ahm tried to get him to reconsider but he asked not to be followed. On the balcony, Tara Markov contacted Deathstroke asking what her next orders were. On January 25th, 14:28 PST, Logan watched another interview with Gretchen Goode. She claimed meta-humans were breaking into Goode World Studios facilities across the world. She stated these "meta-hooligans" who operated outside of the law needed to be disciplined. Logan got angry but Tigress pointed out she was just taunting them and not to let it get to him. She then pointed it out all of the Team's raids yielded no leads on Violet Harper's location. Kaldur'ahm deduced she was likely off-world.
Dick Grayson vowed they would find her. Tigress pointed out he was supposed to be in bed. He requested Barbara Gordon not be told about his low-grade fever since he finally persuaded her to go home after she was at his bedside for two days. Kaldur'ahm revealed she only left because he promised to watch over him. Grayson sighed. In the kitchen, Superboy and Miss Martian spoke telepathically about the Anti-Light. He understood why the group was formed to save people but he did not get why she went along with it. He brought up how Artemis's staged death led her to brain-fry Kaldur'ahm and every time she lied to the people she loved, she lost a little bit of her soul. She thought he forgave her. He clarified he did but had not forgotten. She promised she never invaded any minds. He claimed the lies still hurt. They were interrupted by the intercomm. At 14:32 PST, Kirby Jacobs hailed the Outsiders and informed them of a visitor in the lobby,Vandal Savage. He gave them Violet Harper's coordinates and the condition they tell Granny Goodness he helped them.
Miss Martian was unable to contact Thirteen, who was at the Tower of Fate training with Zatanna last she heard. Nightwing volunteered to be her substitute on the squad. Kaldur'ahm surmised they would not be able to keep him at the Hub even if they tried and decided to go on the rescue mission, too. He deferred leadership to Miss Martian since it was a Team mission. Geo-Force volunteered to go as well. Superboy told him he had to keep his head in the mission for Harper's sake. Nightwing remarked he was starting to sound like Superman and a leader. Superboy turned it back on him and asked what kind of leader he wanted to be. Miss Martian sent a text to Beast Boy about the mission. He sent a simple "Luck" response. Miss Martian established a psychic link then they boomed to the Orphanage. On January 26th, 06:54 PST, the Outsiders were back at the Hub. Beast Boy lamented that now both Violet Harper and Victor Stone were missing.
Suddenly, both arrived through two Boom Tubes with the Team. Miss Martian announced the Justice League would soon return to Earth with hundreds of rescued meta-teenagers. Stone revealed he had proof Gretchen Goode and Granny Goodness were one and the same. Beast Boy declared Stone was the MVP. Stone tried to downplay his role and give credit to Violet Harper. Harper credited his intervention in the deciding factor for their victory. Beast Boy nominated him for the Outsiders. The others voted for him. Stone contemplated the invitation and realized he was never afraid of the spotlight and agreed to join the team. Superboy and Miss Martian stressed to him it was his choice to join, he could join the Team if he did not want to go public, or he could decline both teams altogether. Stone recalled he was never afraid of the spotlight when he played football so in service of a better cause, he chose to join the Outsiders. He declined Geo-Force's offer of "Hot Lava" and took on the codename Cyborg. Beast Boy welcomed him aboard with a fist bump. Harper declared it was a good day.
On February 14th, 18:03 PST, Stone and Logan watched a news report about a video recording the former provided of Goode and Goodness merging and about Cyborg joining the Outsiders. Some time later, they watched Geo-Force's interview. Logan entertained Lian Nguyen-Harper by turning into various animals like a tiger. Metron suddenly boomed to the Hub and took Stone, Harper, and Nguyen-Harper with him to the Mobius Dimension. To add to Beast Boy's confusion they were returned soon after unharmed. On February 15th, 15:34 PST, Beta Squad, a mix of members of the Team and the Outsiders, prepared to boom to Markovia for a joint mission to put down to Baron Bedlam's coup. On February 16th, 01:24 PST, members of the Team and Outsiders wallowed in the Premiere Building. Forager comforted a crying Halo. Geo-Force and Dr. Jace naturally were no longer residents. Tara Markov moved out to live with her brother Gregor. Cyborg also moved out. The current residents are Beast Boy, Forager, Halo, Livewire, Looker, Mist, Windfall, and the new den mother was Justice League member Blue Devil.
On April 19th, 12:17 PDT, Team Year Ten, the Troub-alert was triggered in the Hub in response to Hurricane Amy in Florida. Wonder Girl and Windfall went to Logan's door and knocked. He declined to join them and claimed he was still suffering "Javelin-lag". That night, he went downstairs and watched GBS. They replayed a message from King Markov welcoming meta-humans to Markovoia. Right when a quote from Queen Vladek was going to be played, Logan turned everything off and went back to his bedroom. He suffered insomnia and watched a fan memorial video dedicated to Superboy on his phone. On May 13th, 17:31 PDT, an energy shockwave triggered by the arrival of Child on Earth passed though Hollywood. It was felt by Blue Devil. Andie Murphy emptied out the refrigerator instead of Logan. Logan went to the elevator but Blue Devil, the current den mother, held the doors and touched base. Logan insisted he was just tired and would get to his chores. At 21:05 PDT, Logan finally fell asleep. On May 14th, 00:23 PDT, Logan almost slept through a Troub-alert. Stargirl woke him up but he passed on taking part in the mission. He believed they could handle it and went back to sleep.
The Outsiders returned from their battle with Headmaster and found him still sleeping on the couch. Stargirl was visibly irritated but Logan snapped. He was annoyed he was not sleeping enough and now he was sleeping too much. He started mixing pills to sleep. At 19:48 PDT, Queen Perdita Vladek paid Garfield Logan a surprise visit. She even brought his favorite food-vegan Thai/Chinese fusion but he claimed he just ate and asked to fridge it for later. They went to his bedroom which was a visible mess. She voiced her concern about him taking a break from the Outsiders and Space Trek then wondering if they were on a break. He shrugged. She exclaimed she came 9000 kilometers to see him. He coldly replied no one asked her. Vladek pointed out all he had to do was pick up the phone and accidentally knocked over his sleeping pills. She then realized he was using them as a way to check out from reality. She implored him to get help, but he insisted he didn't need it. She had enough and issued an ultimatum: let her help him or it was over. She refused to stand by and watch him self-destruct. He coldly directed her to the door.
On June 1st, 21:48 PDT, M'gann M'orzz visited Logan. He was irate she talked to Vladek. She reminded him he promised to get help when he returned to Earth. He pointed out that wasn't even Miss Martian who healed his mind on M'arzz and questioned how reliable the diagnosis was. She knew he was battling depression and probably PTSD. He was adamant he would deal with Superboy's death by himself like he did with all the other deaths in his life. She stated it was clearly different this time. He still declined. On June 2nd, 10:00 PDT, M'orzz returned to stage an intervention for Logan with the help of Robotman, Cassie Sandsmark, Jaime Reyes, and Virgil Hawkins. He humored them but coldly dismissed them one by one. Logan finally stated he didn't want to be needed any more and repeated he was going to deal with it himself. M'orzz played her last card. Thanks to Black Lightning's mental health initiative, all members of the League, Team, and Outsiders had to attend an annual mandatory mental health check with Black Canary or they would be kicked off their team. He relented.
In early September, Forager looked at the Moon from the roof of the Premiere Building rooftop while he thought about Forager. On September 15th, 14:43 EDT, Stargirl interviewed Beast Boy for her show. He took the opportunity to talk about his mental health struggles, hoped it would help others in need of help, and the return of Superboy. On November 9th, 18:06 PST, Wonder Girl took part in a conference call with Tigress, Oracle, Black Lightning, and King Brion Markov to discuss Vladek's kidnapping. Markov expressed his concern over Vladek's kidnapping and Count Vertigo's escape from the Markovian National Penitentiary but they were still all not allowed to enter Markovia and his Infinitors would find her. After the call ended, Garfield Logan was adamant that the Infinitors wouldn't be the ones rescuing her. Wonder Girl told him to chill and pointed out he wasn't cleared for active duty yet. He countered Dinah Lance was still in a coma and he was not going to be cleared anytime soon. He stated he was going after Vladek with or without the Outsiders. She put a hand on his shoulder and reaffirmed it would be "with" and promised that. She checked in on Raptor Squad in Paris who were monitoring Joe Henchy, an affiliate of Count Vertigo.
At 20:57 PST, Queen Perdita informed Wonder Girl that King Brion rescued her and she was simply tired but promised to call again the next day. Wonder Girl asked if she saw Count Vertigo. She revealed she never laid eyes on him. King Brion vowed he would be brought to justice and assured Wonder Girl the queen was safe. She thanked him and the call ended. Beast Boy was skeptical since she neglected to ask how Nielson, Roquette, Lance, and Queen were doing. He asked her if that made sense. She hailed Raptor Squad for an update. On November 11th, 12:06 PST, a conference call was held between Wonder Girl, Beast Boy, Nightwing, Oracle, Robin, and Cyborg to discuss the motive behind Queen Vladek's kidnapping: the Vlatavan National Mining Company in Krastmala discovered something, kept it secret, took the discovery directly to Queen Vladek, and she contacted Green Arrow and Black Canary seeking help with setting up transfer of it to Dr. Serling Roquette in S.T.A.R. Labs in Star City.
Nightwing surmised the intel was still leaked somehow. Beast Boy assumed it was leaked to Count Vertigo. Robin briefed him that it was more likely leaked to Lex Luthor. Cyborg revealed he detected Boom Tube activity between the Lexcorp Robotics factory in Greater Bialya and Star City and Markovburg and Krastmala. Oracle summarized Count Vertigo's escape and Vladek's kidnapping were all a distraction to hide the true target. Wonder Girl asked what "it" was. Oracle admitted they still did not know but Ray Palmer and Karen Beecher were running tests on what little residue the Team recovered in Krastmala. Wonder Girl deduced the robotics factory was the likely location where Luthor was holding Vladek prisoner. Oracle confirmed that was their best guess. At 12:32 PST, a joint mission was underway to rescue the real Vladek. Beast Boy looked at old photos of him with Vladek until Stargirl got his attention. Stargirl wondered if the mission was too personal and if she should be on it. He was adamant he was going. She wondered why he was talking in the third person. He claimed she started it.
Wonder Girl yelled at Stargirl and Beast Boy to hurry up. The Outsiders departed the roof of the Premiere Building on Super-Cycle. Cyborg opened a Boom Tube for them to fly directly to the robotics factory.
