Gorilla City is a compound somewhere in the Bwundan Jungle occupied by the Brain, Monsieur Mallah, Ultra-Humanite, and the League of Shadows. It began as one Quonset hut but quickly expanded over the course of two years. They experimented on gorillas with Kobra Venom and brain enhancement procedures, seeing notable results with one subject named Grodd. As a little joke, they named their compound "Gorilla City." On September 26th, 20:11 Central Africa Time (CAT), the gorillas were dispatched from the compound to capture the Team. At 23:59 CAT, they returned with the heroes but were missing Wolf and Miss Martian. After midnight, the Team and Solovar's troop battled the Brain's forces in Gorilla City. Overwhelmed by the resistance, the Brain activated the City's self-destruct mechanism and destroyed it.
