Dakota City is a city in the state of Michigan near the High Hills and shares similar origins to Detroit. Desegregation, racial tensions, and the stratification of social classes changed Dakota over the years. In May 2010, Icon and Rocket debuted as the city's protectors. On November 5th, 21:08 Central Daylight Time (CDT), Rocket used her force field to move a school bus out of danger from falling off a bridge. Over five years later, on March 21st, Raquel Ervin held her bridal shower in Dakota. It was interrupted by an attempted robbery staged by Captain Cold. On June 20th, 07:35 CDT, Virgil Hawkins and Black Lightning neutralized a Magnetic Field Disrupter hidden underground in the sewer system.
