The Conservatory of Sorcery is a prestigious school located in Poseidonis, capital of Atlantis. Attracting the best and brightest, the Conservatory teaches its students in the art of magic. The current headmistress is Queen Mera. At one point, Kaldur'ahm transferred to the Conservatory after his military service only to become Aquaman's apprentice. On August 27th, Aqualad returned to the school in search of his classmates, namely Tula and Garth. On September 6th, reports of unrest of the Conservatory reached the palace. Prince Orm dispatched Aqualad, Miss Martian, and Superboy to investigate. Tensions caused by the Purists created a schism among the student body.
