Founded in the 19th Century, Central City is located in Missouri across the Mississippi River from Keystone City. It initially was an important trade hub for the cattle industry. With the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad, Central City's importance expanded to become one of the major travel hubs of the midwest area.

In the modern era, Central City is home of the super-hero who takes on the mantle of the Flash each generation. On July 4th, 11:03 Central Daylight Time (CDT), Captain Cold was defeated by the Flash and Kid Flash during a diamond theft. On July 7th, 10:13:16 CDT, Kid Flash and Superboy confronted a disturbance caused by the Terror Twins at the Central City Mall. The twins fled the scene when Superman and the Flash arrived. On July 9th, 13:28 CDT, Dick Grayson met with West and Kaldur'ahm at Cafe Sugar to present them with a hunch that the League of Shadows was assassinating businessmen associated with Project Cadmus. They decided to go forward with the unsanctioned mission and staked out the office of a possible target, Selena Gonzalez. About six and half hours later, Black Spider and the Hook were sighted. The trio engaged but were captured. They escaped and fought back but failed to protect the life of the target.

On August 8th, 9:00 CDT, Wally West began his first day as a sophmore at Keystone High School. On August 27th, Jay Garrick's birthday was celebrated at the home of Rudy and Mary West. Rudy West, Mary West, Wally West, Barry Allen, Iris West, Jay Garrick, and Joan Garrick were present. On September 7th, Flash and Kid Flash led an escaped cheetah back to the Central City Zoo. On November 11th, 07:16 Central Standard Time (CST), Wally West awoke on his birthday to a snow storm. Over five years later, on February 28th, Jay and Joan Garrick celebrated their 70th anniversary at the Allen household. Festivities were put on hold when a supervillain named Neutron attacked downtown demanding the Flash. In reality, he was being controlled by others and his powers tested. The battle drew four speedsters together to take down the villain. The villain's controllers destroyed all evidence of their presence and involvement after the control device was destroyed. On June 20th, 22:16 CDT, Artemis Crock visited Rudy and Mary West to mourn the death of Wally West. West's funeral was held soon after.

On September 29, 10:00 CDT, Team Year Eight, Iris West-Allen watched GBS's coverage of a joint Justice League-S.T.A.R. Labs press conference in Taos. She grumbled about Cat Grant getting to cover it as usual while everyone forgot she was a reporter after she gave birth to twins. Someone rang the doorbell at the front door. She turned the TV off while Bart Allen handled Don and Dawn Allen. She thanked him for the help but yelled at him not to refer to Don as "Dad" or her as "Grandma." She answered the door and greeted Queen Mera and Prince Artur then informed them they were the first to arrive. Across the street, Ocean-Master conducted surveillance on the Allen home and took note there was six present and 12 more to come. Soon other spouses and children of Justice League members arrived, including Will Harper, Lian Nguyen-Harper, Lynn Stewart-Pierce, Jennifer and Anissa Pierce, and Raquel and Amistad Ervin.

Later in the day, Will Harper made small talk with Lynn Stewart-Pierce and noted Jefferson Pierce was spending a lot of time with Dick Grayson, Conner Kent, and Artemis Crock and it was going well. She shared her belief he would not be able to give up the hero life for long but it was not her business anymore. Harper understood and admitted he should not be the one bringing up exes. She asked him what the deal was with him and Crock. Harper got flustered and stated there was no deal, she was just helping with raising his daughter. She noted they were both single and living in the same house but apologized for assumptions. Karen Beecher arrived. Raquel Ervin went to answer the door. Beecher boasted she would not miss out on a club so exclusive. Amistad Ervin made note of her pregnancy. Ocean-Mater counted 14 on site with four still to come. John Smith arrived with Traya some time later. Harper was relieved another dad showed up. All the mothers gave him the business. Artur and Jennifer Pierce asked Smith to make the "twisties." Smith happily obliged them and made some small red tornadoes for the children to play with. Ocean-Master noted 16 were on site and there were only two left.

West-Allen told Lois Lane she was glad she and her son Jonny Kent could make it. Lane reckoned it was the one place to relax with people who truly understood "the life." Allen noted their numbers were growing. Bart Allen again called Don "Dad" and Iris West-Allen scolded him again. Ocean-Master got dressed and readied the Trident of Neptune. Lady Shiva paid Ocean-Master a visit and was impressed with what he accomplished on the surface world: discovering where the parents and children came together for a play date, leasing the house across from the Allens, and setting up wiretaps, microphones, and infrared. Ocean-Master prepared to blow up the play date and deal a blow the heroes would never recover from. Shiva noted the Light vowed to never use the nuclear option lightly because it would lead to mutually assured destruction. Ocean-Master only wanted revenge for being denied the throne of Atlantis and spending six years in an Atlantean prison. She already knew that and beheaded him. The house was stripped and cleaned.

On December 7th, 21:51 CST, Jay Garrick was at Joan's bedside in a hospital and watched the Outsiders' first mission on live TV. On May 15th, 20:06 CDT, Team Year Ten, Jay Garrick left his house. A short time later, Bart Allen answered the front door and met two teenagers. One referred to him as Kid Flash to his shock. On August 27th, 06:49 CDT, Kid Flash assembled a Cosmic Treadmill aboard Bio-Ship in Garrick's back yard. Chameleon Boy couldn't believe they spent three and a half months collecting and assembling materials and it was taking Kid Flash less than ten minutes to install it all. Kid Flash apologized for taking so long but revealed incorporating rebuilt components from their dead Time Sphere was a real time suck. Before he completed it, he issued an ultimatum to Saturn Girl and Chameleon Boy to tell him the whole truth or it was over. Chameleon Boy cited the danger to the timeline if they did. Kid Flash pointed out he was from the future so he was a wild card.

They acquiesced and told him about the threat of the Kryptonian House of Zod. Once they were done, Kid Flash finished the device and showed it off to them. On September 2nd, 16:17 CDT, Jay Garrick returned home from his Justice League mission to New Genesis and discovered Bart Allen was missing.
