The Manta Flyer is the primary transportation of the second Black Manta. It is smaller in size compared to the Manta Sub but is capable of both flight and undersea travel. When needed, the Manta Flyer can dock in the underside of the Manta Sub. On February 17th, Team Year Five, the Team engaged Black Manta and Lex Luthor deep underground Atabey's Shrine on Santa Prisca. Black Manta had the Flyer suspend its Restoration Protocol and initiate Tactical Offensive System. Before the Flyer could fully charge up, Alpha Squad disabled four generators then freed Aquaman from Black Manta's custody.
On March 19th, Team Year Six, it towed a weapons platform near the coast of Cape Canaveral. On March 30th, Tigress used the Manta Flyer to transport a shipment of teenagers to a Reach Ship in the Pacific Ocean. On April 9th, Black Manta used the Manta Flyer to return to the Manta Sub and brought Vandal Savage and Psimon aboard. Deathstroke remained in the Manta Flyer at a safe distance from Miss Martian's psychic range with a detonator linked to the explosive charge on her Proprietary Collar in the event she failed to fix Kaldur'ahm's broken mind.
