Vartox was one of many powerful beings kidnapped by Kylstar. The fate of Kylstar's home planet and race was well known in Vartox's sector of the galaxy. Once freed, he told as much to Superboy and the Leaguers through telepathy. It is unknown if he returned to his home planet or remained with Kylstar to battle his race's oppressors.
